Making NRL Matter To Gen Z

The NRL already had attention, but younger audiences connect less with the game itself and more with the personalities around it. So instead of pushing match coverage harder, we built a content platform designed to bring humour, authenticity and player personality to the surface.

'Game Changer' became a year-long platform with LADbible and SPORTbible, built to bring the personalities of the league to the surface. Content was social-first, talent-led and designed to live where this audience already spends time, shifting the focus from match moments to player moments. 

The result: the NRL showing up in youth culture in a way it hadn’t before, with a scalable partnership that made the game feel more relatable, current and worth paying attention to.
